Executive Team
Victor Figueroa
President - CEO
Victor brings 28 years of experience leading companies on both the Oilfield Services and Exploration & Production sides, consistently delivering results across Latin America and the United States.
Victor was born in Venezuela and holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Polytechnic Santiago Marino University and a Master of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University. He began his career in 1997 as an Applications Engineer for Baker Hughes in Venezuela, working in the Latin America group until 2005. During this time, Victor built strong relationships across Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia, Peru, and Trinidad & Tobago. His extensive experience and effective leadership style led to his transfer to Dallas, where he took on a leadership role during the early stages of the shale revolution.
While in leadership at Baker Hughes, Victor managed a $1 billion P&L business, overseeing operations in the Permian Basin, Eagle Ford, and Haynesville Shales. After 21 successful years at Baker Hughes, Victor transitioned to Point Energy Partners to spearhead the development of an oil and gas field in Ward County, Texas. As COO he grew production from approximately 250 BOE/D to >40,000 BOE/D. This remarkable success was driven by his deep understanding of the value chain for oil wells and oilfields, allowing him to implement best practices in development.
Victor built and led a multidisciplinary team of experts spanning land, construction, geology, reservoir management, drilling, completions, production, and facilities to deliver best-in-class operations and maximize ROI. Under his leadership, the company’s valuation increased from $80 million in July 2018 to $1.1 billion as the property was acquired by Vital Energy in September 2024.
Victor’s goal is to continue developing fields in the U.S. while leveraging his expertise to support companies abroad as shale development expands globally.
